About Maggie Cassella

Maggie Cassella has tackled nearly every aspect of the business of show. From behind the live event or camera to in front, Maggie has written, directed, produced, acted in, and hosted more events than you can shake a stick at. Though why is anyone shaking sticks? What did sticks ever do to them?

Maggie’s most proud achievement was creating and producing the We’re Funny That Way® comedy and music festival and foundation. The festival has been running since 1997 as a 100% charitable event. Over the years hundreds of thousands of dollars in proceeds have gone to make transformational donations to grassroots LGBTQ2S+ charities across Canada. We’re Funny That Way® 2024 happens May 29 – June 1 at the Factory Theatre in Toronto.
